What’s Good?
– Aditya Dhar’s portrayal of national pride boosting event.
– He shows that soldiers have family problems like commoners, soldiers also mourn when they lose their colleagues. Basically, he has humanized soldiers.
– Closer to reality action sequences.
– Vicky Kaushal’s high josh.
– The comedy scene where politicians sit to discuss a retaliation to Pakistan after URI attacks and one politician suggests that we should close the dams and cause drought in Pakistan – that’s a real cracker.
– Yami Gautam as Intelligence officer.
– Kirti Kulhari’s brief role.
– Background score.
– Cinematography especially drone shots.

What’s Bad?
– Under-used Paresh Rawal.
– Vicky Kaushal killing 2 bad guys with this bare hands.
– Not so impactful Narendra Modi.

We give URI: The Surgical Strike 3 stars and bombard it with honey-coated shellings.
