Sidharth Malhotra, who entered Bollywood with Student Of The Year, is all set for the release of his upcoming film Jabariya Jodi. While promoting the rom-com, the actor has also begun the second schedule of his next – Shershaah. Shershaah is a biopic on the life of Captain Vikram Batra and will see him playing the titular role.
Sidharth flew to Kashmir and begun shooting as the permission for the same was granted prior to Article 370 being scrapped. Sid will be completing the Chandigarh and Palampur schedule and then the 40-day schedule will be shot in Leh, Ladakh, and Kargil. The team will be shooting the war sequences, the initial days of Captain Batra when was recruited and his subsequent posting at Kargil there.
Shabir Boxwala, the film’s co-producer said that there is no unrest in the valley. He says places like Kargil, Leh, Ladakh and Jammu are calm from what he learned from army officers there. They are optimistic that even Srinagar, which is a bit tense, will ease out in some days.
Based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, Shershaah will be directed by Vishnuvardhan and is produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
