It’s World Music Day today! Can you imagine life without music? Well, neither can we. We grew up listening to music in the form of lullabies and nursery rhymes. Now, think about Bollywood without songs and music. Can you?
Bollywood is synonym with music for ages. Bollywood films are incomplete if songs and music are absent. Besides background music, a film adds even end credit songs to add a musical element like Milegi Milegi in Stree and Ittefaq Se (Raat Baaki) from Ittefaq.

While celebrating music, we at BollywoodBee bring you a bunch of movies that gained popularity with the masses because of their amazing songs.

Aashiqui 2
Aashiqui 2 starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor went on to win many accolades for its songs. With about a dozen songs in the film, the most popular of the lot were Tum Hi Ho, Sun Raha Hai Na Tu, Chahun Main Ya Naa and more.

Rockstar
The soundtrack of this film was refreshing to all. Composed by AR Rahman, the songs were written by Irshad Kamil. Mohit Chauhan lent his voice for nine out of fourteen songs in the film. Remember Sadda Haq?

Ek Villian
The songs of this film were composed by Mithoon, Ankit Tiwari and the band, Soch with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir, Mithoon and members of Soch. The album consists of seven songs like Galliyan, Zaroorat, Humdard and Banjaara.

Kal Ho Na Ho
This 2003 romantic comedy-drama by Nikkhil Advani has a song for every mood- disco, family function, romance and heartbreak. Whatever your mood this film has a song for it thanks to the composition of Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy and lyrics written by Javed Akhtar. The movie featured many singers and we love them all.

Veer Zaara
This 2004 romantic drama about a cross border love story was bought to live with its amazing songs. The film featured 11 songs with music based on the old and untouched compositions of late Madan Mohan which were revised by his son Sanjeev Kohli. The lyrics were written by Javed Akhtar and were sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Jagjit Singh, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, Gurdas Mann, Roop Kumar Rathod, Ahmed Hussain, Mohammad Hussain and Pritha Mazumder. The film won an IIFA for its music
