102 Not Out, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, and Jimit Trivedi, directed by Umesh Shukla has been doing wonders at the box office ever since the release last week. As promised, the cast, along with its director Umesh Shukla and writer Saumya Joshi met with the media today to talk about the film, the response it has been receiving and a lot more.

The cast opened up about their time on the sets on the film, their experiences, the reaction, the criticism and many other things they have received as well as some behind the scenes stories.

When asked why the song Badumbaaa wasn’t incorporated in the film, director Umesh justified saying that it would have taken away the essence of the film if incorporated – but now it has been added at the end of the film.

The director also narrated a very special moment he witnessed after a screening of the film and also an incident from behind the scenes where the powerful actors shot a twelve-page long scene in one go which made the whole unit emotional and Amitabh Bachchan still asked for a retake the other day.

Both actors – Amitabh and Rishi – criticized the director for cutting their parts in the film. It started with Rishi Kapoor complaining about his voice over being cut from the movie and then Amitabh Bachchan said how his introduction scene – where he was having fun on a scooter – was cut in order for the director ‘to get directly to the story and not waste time’.

Going further when the team was asked their views on web series, everyone appreciated the concept of how web series is a good thing but Amitabh Bachchan had a very quirky reply to it just as his character in the movie, he said,

“I agree with all of them and what they have to say but all I want to say is yet another job opportunity for me”
