This docu-drama is based on the real-life incidence of the deadly terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, who has committed a lot of life-threatening crimes.
The extremist terrorist in this film was involved in the killing of Jewish-American journalist Daniel Pearl, and he is also the mastermind after the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai. His avenge to appeal for the death of his fellow Muslim sisters and brothers made him a religious extremist. Omerta fails to showcase his deadly intentions to make the world his follower.

This docu-drama is laced with authentic news footages, which barely amplifies the overall impact. A half-baked story does no good to the cinema despite Rajkummar Rao‘s British accent.
