Did you love the 2016 computer-animated film Angry Birds? Well, the good news is that the film is all set for a sequel — The Angry Birds Movie 2. And now we hear ace Indian comedian, Kapil Sharma will be part of the film.

Kapil has been roped in by Sony Pictures Entertainment India for the Hindi version of The Angry Birds Movie 2. The comedian will lend his voice for the hot-headed bird, Red.

Pointing out that dubbing for a film is different than voicing for a character, Kapil said:

“In the West, artists first voice for their characters and based on that, the film is shot using graphics. But over here, we have to talk according to the graphics.”

Talking about being relatable to the character, he said:

“He is the hero but, at times, he gets entangled in tough situations. Knowing my history, you’d agree I am Red.”

He added:

“The producers (Sony Pictures Entertainment India) expected me to scale up the humour and I have but it’s very situational. In fact, there are times when the character’s anger will make people laugh.”

Kapil Sharma concluded:

“Though I’ll be voicing the character, they won’t see me in it.”

The Angry Birds Movie 2 releases in India on August 23 in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu.
