Gali Guleiyan is a story of Khuddoos (Manoj Bajpayee), who lives a lethargic, horrid and paranoid life in the maze-like lanes of Gali Guleiyan. Khuddoos who is normally a cold-blooded mammal has his heart skip a beat and care for a boy named Idris aka Iddu (Om Singh) when he hears the boy’s dad beat him up through walls.

Nobody could’ve played Khuddoos as good as Manoj Bajpayee. Om Singh does justice to Idris. Neeraj Kabi is splendid. Shahana Goswami plays the doting mother is the only character who is soft-hearted. Ranvir Shorey who plays Manoj’s friend is convincing as always.

Debutant director-writer Dipesh Jain‘s direction in Gali Guleiyan doesn’t look like that of a debutant. Apart from 2-3 scenes which seemed to drag a bit, the script is quite tight. Kai Miedendorp’s camera efficiently makes us feel claustrophobic. Production Design, Costume Design, Art Design in whole made us live in Gali Guleiyan. Chris Witt’s editing is a masterpiece.
