Remember when Aditya Chopra announced Befikre? Remember how all of us thought it was going to be our generation’s DDLJ? Remember how Befikre was Aditya Chopra’s way of reinventing himself? Remember how it did not achieve what it set out to do? Ah, well, looks like Aditya Chopra is all set to ‘try something new’ once again and this time, it’s with the Dhoom franchise.
For those of you who don’t know, the last installment had Aamir Khan playing the thief and reports have suggested that Shah Rukh Khan might be playing the antagonist in Dhoom 4! Whether you like the over the top action or not, one thing is for sure – The Dhoom franchise have always been entertaining, much loved and have broken records at the box office.
An industry insider was quoted saying, “Aditya is too huge a Bollywood veteran to let one Befikre make him take a step back. As a matter of fact, what he needs to do next is instantly sprint ahead and deliver a biggie. What better way to do that than to pick up Yash Raj Films’ biggest franchise, Dhoom?”
Elaborating on what changes Aditya Chopra could bring to the franchise, a trade expert said, “As for the leading lady, don’t be surprised if Aditya’s current favorite Vaani Kapoor makes the cut. Given her current looks and styling, it won’t be surprising if she ends up bagging a spot of one of the heroines in Dhoom: 4!” DEAR GOD NO!
We are already on the fence about Adi Chopra making yet another movie and if it’s with Vaani Kapoor, Dhoom is definitely doomed! What do you guys think?
