A lot of old hit Bollywood songs are remade for latest movies these days. And now another ‘90s classic song is being reworked on for Street Dancer 3D.

Prabhudheva‘s ‘90s hit song, Mukkala Muqabala (from the 1994 Tamil film, Kadhalan (dubbed in Hindi as Humse Hai Muqa) is one song that every kid on hearing would get into a breakdance mode. Now, 25 years after the floor-tapping number released, it is all set to make a comeback with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Street Dancer 3D.

We will see Prabhudheva showoff his dance moves with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in the new version. It has been reported that this AR Rahman creation has been reworked on by Tanishk Bagchi. The report also reveals that the song has already been shot in Dubai.

A source revealed:

“It was shot during the on-going Dubai schedule with Prabhudheva taking center stage for a minute-long solo performance, effortlessly repeating the difficult moves in a single take.”
The source added that he was joined by the film’s lead actors, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor.

Producer Bhushan Kumar confirmed that the song has been included in the movie. He said,

“There’s a situation in the film where we see Prabhudheva showcase his dance moves and I knew we needed to bring ‘Muqabala’ back. The audience will be blown away by the choreography and will love the new version as much as the original,” he said.

Street Dancer 3D stars Varun and Shraddha as dancers, who have grown up in the UK. The film also stars Nora Fatehi, Sonam Bajwa, Dharmesh, Shakti Mohan and Vartika Jha in vital roles, the film is slated to release on the Republic Day 2020 weekend.
