Elizabeth Stamatina Fey or as the world knows her, Tina Fey is one woman who truly deserves to be celebrated for the difference she makes in the world of cinema through her work.

Fey was honoured with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at The Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Women in Entertainment Breakfast in Los Angeles. The actress, comedian, writer & producer is a riot not only on-screen but also off-screen & she proved it yet again with her acceptance speech.

The nine-time Emmy-winning creator and star of 30 Rock and co-creator of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt spoke about the role & power a woman has in the business of entertainment. With a lot of jokes & impactful quotes in her speech, Fey ended her speech with a request to the media — who should now think twice before asking questions to the actress. “They ask me, “What do you say to people who say ‘Women aren’t funny?'” said Fey. “To which I say, ‘It’s time to stop talking about that and start talking about how black people are funnier than white people.’ ‘How do you balance work and family?’ And I say, ‘On your mom’s back, that’s how.” In her final minute onstage the actress decided to give girls the best guidance she could offer. “I say, ‘Don’t smoke. Wear a bra. Trust your instincts. Don’t date John Mayer.'”
