During the Oscars in Los Angeles, Fagun Thakrar was part of the Women in Film Oscar Event, hosted by last year’s Academy Award winner Brie Larsen. Fagun recently co-starred in a new film with Brie Larsen. Academy award winners Meryl Streep and Emma Stone also attended.
Fagun recently founded a non-profit ‘The Fagun Foundation,’ which focuses on supporting programs that empower women through creativity. These programs improve gender equality and women’s rights, particularly in countries where their rights have been historically suppressed. This philanthropic endeavor builds on her previous experience as spokeswoman forvarious female empowerment non-profits in the USA and its core mission is deeply rooted in her work as a critically acclaimed actress, writer and director. Women in Film organization and Fagun’s Foundation will be working closely together in the future.
As always, Fagun demonstrated her gracefully and elegant style at other high profile events being held during Oscar season. For the Women in Film event, Fagun looked stunning wearing a blue beaded dress by MacDuggal. In addition to this event, Fagun also was seen at the prestigious Night Before the Oscar, wearing a romantic vintage lace turquoise and pink designer gown by Olvi’s. On Oscar day Fagun looks like a goddess wearing a positively radiant yellow gown by Beverly Hills designer Winnie Couture.
