Aamir Khan, who is known to the whole of a B-Town and even among his fans as a Mr Perfectionist, climbed the ladder of success in Bollywood with his pure talent skills and hard work.

 

Today’s the actors’ 53rd birthday and we wish him a very happy birthday.

 

On the occasion of his birthday, here are 5 lesser known facts, we bet you are not aware of about Aamir.

 

1.He was not always against awards.

Yes. This actor who doesn’t really attends award shows and functions, was not really against it at some point of time. But his approach changed in 1990 when he lost the Best Actor award to Sunny Deol in Ghayal while He was nominated for Dil (How can we not love Aamir in Dil). Till now, he has been nominated 17 times for the Filmfare Award. Though he has no reservation against the Oscar Awards.

 

2. Aamir was an avid Tennis Player.

He played professionally in state-level championships in the 1980s, becoming a state level tennis champion, prior to entering a full-time acting career. In 2014, Aamir Khan participated in an exhibition match for the International Premier Tennis League, playing doubles with world champions Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Sania Mirza (How cool is that).

 

3. Aamir’s debut film was Holi and not QSQT.

Though we all often assume the debut film of this actor to be the QSQT, in reality, it is not. The director Ketan Mehta noticed Khan from the documentary films directed by the students of FTII in which Khan acted and he offered him a role in the low-budget experimental film Holi (1984). The credits addressed him as Aamir Hussian Khan.

 

4. Aamir has a massive fan following in China.

Though China and India are struggling with each other on the political front, Aamir has managed to gain the popularity in China. Comparing his accomplishment to China’s own movie stars, Chinese netizens can’t help but question “why doesn’t China have a celebrity on a par with Aamir Khan?” (Let’s make him the arbitrator next time).

 

5. Aamir doesn’t really like bathing.

No matter how perfect he is in his films and characters but as confirmed by his beloved wife Kiran Rao, Aamir doesn’t really like to bathe.
