Viacom18’s film studio, Viacom18 Motion Pictures, announced its association with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the upcoming magnum opus, Padmavati. The film starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, will soon go on floors and is set for a 2017 release.

Padmavati is Viacom18 Motion Pictures’ third collaboration with Bhansali Productions after the back to back success of Mary Kom & Gabbar is Back. After his mega hits, Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali returns to direct Padmavati and commented saying,” I’m very happy to work with Viacom18 Motion Pictures & Ajit Andhare. We’ve had a successful partnership so far and I look forward to collaborating with them on Padmavati.”.
