It’s always a pleasure to see actors reuniting on screens. And that’s exactly what’s happening in Nitin Kakkar’s next. Tabu, who is basking in the success of Andhadhun, has joined Saif Ali Khan and Pooja Bedi’s daughter — Alaia Furniturewala in Jawaani Jaaneman.
Tabu appeared alongside Saif Ali Khan almost 2 decades ago in Hum Saath Saath Hain. According to reports, the actress will not have a full-fledged role in the film but will see in seen in a cameo.
The director of the film, Nitin Kakkar, told an entertainment website,
“We begin shooting for Jawani Jaaneman on Monday. It is a father-daughter story.”
Jawaani Jaaneman is a coming-of-age story revolving around a 40-year-old man and his relationship with his daughter. Alaia will be seen playing Saif’s onscreen daughter.
Earlier, Saif told a leading daily,
“She has all the qualities we were looking for in the young lead, the charm and energy to take the film to the level that it needs. We are lucky to have found our perfect cast and I’m looking forward to working with Alaia.”
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan will star in Om Raut’s Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior and Pavan Kirpalani‘s horror-comedy Bhoot Police. He will also feature in Sacred Games 2.
Tabu is currently busy promoting her upcoming film De De Pyaar De which also stars Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.
Jawaani Jaaneman is co-produced by Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment, Saif Ali Khan’s Black Knight Films and Jay Shewakramanis Northern Lights Films.
