Legendary actor Shashi Kapoor passed away a while back. The actor turned 79 in April 2017.
His nephew Mohit Marwah confirmed the news on Twitter. He tweeted:

Shashiji had been suffering from multiple ailments over the past few years. In 2014, he was hospitalized for a chest infection. The Satyam Shivam Sundaram actor had undergone a bypass surgery too.
Shashiji has featured in over 160 movies and has won three National Awards. He was presented with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. He has also been awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2014. He received the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2011.

Known for his roles in movies like Deewar, Namak Halal, Trishul and many others will surely be remembered in our hearts forever.
