Padmavati has gone through a lot of difficulties. The movie made headlines when Sanjay Leela Bhansali was bashed up thrice on the sets. It still continues as the Karni Sena is adamant on beheading Deepika Padukone and SLB.

However, despite the efforts, the film will release on 1st December. But wait, don’t get your hopes too high. It will release on the same day only in Britain.

If reports are to be believed, the magnum opus, starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor, will release in the UK on December 1.

The film has reportedly been given a yes by the British Board of Film Classification.

Here’s the tweet confirming the same:

The makers have also asked the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to expedite the certification process for the film, but the request has been turned down.

Sarfaraz Merchant from Viacom 18, however, told us,

“Padmavati is not releasing on 1st December in UK. The release date is unconfirmed.”

The Sri Rajput Karni Sena has been adamant that it won’t allow the film to be released in India even if any changes are made.

Yesterday at a press conference held in Delhi by the Karni Sena, this is what they said:

“My party members and I are totally against the film Padmavati’s release. Even after the changes, we will not allow it to hit the theatres. We will come out on the streets along with other social organizations and protest against it if it gets a release date.”

Also, governments of several states – Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh – have said that they might ban the movie in these states.

Here’s hoping that Padmavati finds its release without any more problems.
