A couple of days ago, we brought you the news that Deepika Padukone is all set to play Ranveer Singh’s wife in ’83.

Today, the energetic Ranveer Singh took to Twitter confirming the news. The Gully Boy actor posted pictures of himself with his wifey Deepika Padukone. Here’s what he tweeted:

Ranveer Singh is super excited to work with Deepika again.

Talking about collaborating with Ranveer in 83, Deepika Padukone told a leading daily:

“The personal equation doesn’t spill over into the workspace. I can’t think of anyone else who could do justice to the role of Kapil Dev, but if there was someone else playing him in the film, and not Ranveer, I would still do my part. This isn’t coming from a personal equation, but from my passion and enthusiasm for the film.”

She added:

“When you are in the business of movies, you are playing a character. Of course, all of this is yet to play out, but at the end of the day, you are essaying a role, and at that point, you are not thinking whether your co-actor is your husband, brother or someone you know closely. All you try to do is, be honest in that moment.”

Deepika-Ranveer have given us amazing films like Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. It will be amazing to see the real couple playing husband and wife on screen.

Directed by Kabir Khan, 83 will hit the screens on April 10, 2020.
