Tuesday morning, Mukesh Rawal, who is a known television actor and Gujarati threatre personality was found dead on the railway tracks near Kandivali. It has been reported by Government Railway Police that it was an accident because circumstances show that Rawal may have been crossing the tracks.
Rawal, 66, essayed the character of ‘Vibhishan’ in Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayana’, which went on to become one of the most loved shows on TV.
Kandivali station master informed GRP about the accident around 9:30 am and the actor was rushed to a public hospital where he was pronounced dead. Reports suggest that his identity could not be established but when his family started searching for him on Wednesday, they were directed to the railway cops.
Mukesh Rawal is survived by his wife and two daughters. Our prayers are with them and the family. May he rest in peace.
