Taapsee Pannu
This morning we read the news that PINK actress Taapsee Pannu has expressed her disappointment over the producers of Pati, Patni Aur Woh remake.
It was a shocking moment for Taapsee when she got to know that she is no longer a part of the remake of Pati, Patni Aur Woh. The actress claimed that she was not informed about the same and the makers have still not given her a reason for it.
Pati, Patni Aur Woh which will be remade by Juno Chopra and Abhay Chopra will be directed by Mudassar Aziz. Kartik Aaryan will essay the part of the Pati which was originally played by Sanjeev Kumar and Ananya Pandey was to play the role of Woh.
Taapsee further said that she was one of the first actors to be approached for the film and had given a nod for the film. She had also adjusted her dates with her other commitments to give bulk dates for the film but is now shocked that she got to know from someone else that she was dropped from it. The actress even contacted the director who was unaware of the reason. He further told her that he was just asked to take someone else for the role.
Now in an interesting turn of events, the producers TSeries’ Bhushan Kumar and Juno Chopra released a statement saying that Taapsee was not finalized for the role.
They said:
When a script is locked, every director or producer approaches actors for the casting of the film, it is a basic protocol followed by almost all filmmakers. Similarly, for our upcoming project – Pati Patni Aur Woh, we reached out to many actors, who we thought could be our potential protagonists in the film.
The versatile actress Taapsee Pannu was one of the many actresses we had approached for one of the leading ladies in the film. However, we as Producers have never made any commitment to her. We would like to clarify that our casting was purely done on the basis of who suited the characters to the tee. Tapasee is an extremely talented actress and we would love to work with her in future.
We will soon make the official announcement for the final cast of Pati Patni Aur Woh.
Well, now there are two stories here. One is from Taapsee’s point and the other from the producers. Only time will tell what is the truth.
