Spoiler Alert – There is no yoga.

Let’s sum up the movie first – An Indian academic (Disha Patani) approaches Chinese archeologist (Jackie Chan) to search for a long lost treasure of India. Prince charming (Sonu Sood) also wishes to search the gold of pot, but his villainous tactics are overpowered by Jackie Chan’s stunts.

In this hotchpotch, the plot is lost and the clichéd storyline will put you to sleep.
Apart from exotic locations and force fit cultural drama, there’s nothing new to see in the Jackie Chan movie. Sonu Sood’s tactics are too over the top and it’s sad that the makers opted for such an unrealistic view of India. We don’t wear so much velvet huh!

Disha Patani has a pretty smile and she tries to use it as a tool to act, and fails miserably. Amyra Dastur still fairs well and manages to save the few scenes that she is in. Sometimes.

What has come as an even bigger disappointment is the fact that we wanted more ‘wow moments’ from Jackie Chan and had to settle for very very less.

If you are planning to go for Kung Fu Yoga, you’ll end up in a meditative state till the climax.

We give Kung Fu Yoga 1.5 buzzing bee.
