Kaalakaandi Quick Movie Review: A Madcap Comedy

Kaalakaandi
Author : Jeet Jobanputra

The directorial debut of writer Akshat Verma who rose to fame with Delhi Belly, Kaalakaandi has three parallel tracks, one of a man who’s just got to know he’s suffering from cancer on his brother’s wedding day, a couple sulking over the lady leaving the country for a PhD and the third one about two courier boys and how their ambition leads them to a sudden change of track is what forms the crux of the film.

Saif Ali Khan steals the show with his performance, Kunaal Roy Kapur as an actor isn’t used to his full potential, besides him, the whole cast performs just well enough.

All in all, Kaalakaandi is a fun movie with a few drawbacks and some really good performances.

We give Kaalakaandi a 3.5 Buzzing Bees. A Jar of Honey to Saif Ali Khan and Deepak Dobriyal for their amazing performances.
