Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’ wrapped the first schedule with a song sequence on Wednesday night. According to sources the shooting started at 10 PM in the night and ended around 6 AM in the morning.
A photographer of a leading daily spotted the director on the sets doing his best to keep the shoot under wraps. The area where they were shooting was pitch dark and the lights were deliberately switched off. The actors were also escorted to the sets with the help of torch lights. A source further revealed that Deepika Padukone was spotted wearing a heavy cream and gold and was escorted to the sets with the help of three people who helped in holding her gown from behind. Whereas Shahid was spotted wearing a beige dhoti and a black jacket, the actor who has several shirtless shots was spotted removing the jacket right before the shot. A source further added that Shahid was keen to make his character look as authentic as possible therefore he used to take horse riding and sword fighting lessons in the morning and shoot in the night.
