Vishesh FilmsJannat was a movie that totally opened our eyes to the big bad world of betting and match-fixing which almost tore the nation apart! One of Emraan Hashmi’s biggest hits, the actor absolutely stole the show in his impeccable performance of a bookie who let his greed overpower his identity completely at the cost of love. On the joyous occasion of completing 10 years today, Vishesh Bhatt shared an interesting anecdote that took place while shooting in South Africa.

When shooting for an important match sequence in Cape Town, the number of people seated in the stadium was too less. To make it look authentic, the VFX expert usually fills in the empty spaces using computer graphics. However, the crowd was so sparse that the expert advised the production house to gather more people to be a part of the scene.

Commenting on the same, Vishesh Bhatt said,

“We managed to get inside a live cricket match in Cape Town. It was a New Zealand vs. South Africa one day match and we went in with large guerilla cameras. Every camera had a director because we wanted to capture all the possible reactions. So the spontaneous reactions that is seen in the movie are taken from the crowd in the live cricket match of December 2007.”

Jannat is truly remembered even today for its evergreen music and Emraan Hashmi’s power-packed performance!

On this note, we must definitely go back and relive Jannat!
