Ever since the first poster of Befikre was launched, there has always been conversation about Censor Board getting a heart-attack. Today the eagerly awaited verdict was announced and it the film was certified by the Central Board Of Film Certification on Tuesday with a ‘U/A’ certificate.
Surprisingly, each of the approximately 40 kisses have been retained in the movie. From deleting a kissing scene in the Bond movie to wanting to delete Ranbir Kapoor’s kissing scenes from Tamasha and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, it seems the CBFC board has come a long way.
In case you don’t know already, CBFC was in a the middle of a huge controversy when they gave more than 80 cuts for Udta Punjab. The industry rose together to fight against a system that hampered creativity. From that to this, we’re hoping it’s a sign of changing times!
