The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) concluded last night. The closing ceremony of IFFI 2017 witnessed a number of Bollywood celebrities walk down the red carpet.

Superstar of Bollywood, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, was conferred with the ‘Indian Film Personality of the Year Award’ at the closing ceremony.
He has described the evening as one that he shall never forget.
In his award acceptance speech at the closing ceremony of IFFI, Amitabh shared how cinema is a worthy example of unity and integration in a fast and disintegrating world. He said,
“I have always felt that my respect and regard for the Indian film industry has rested in the presence that the film industry has had in our world. When we sit inside a darkened hall, we never ask for caste, creed, colour or the religion of the person sitting next to us is.”
He continued,
“Yet, we see the same film, we laugh at the same jokes, we cry at the same emotion, we sing the same songs. In this fast disintegrating world of today, where can you find such a wonderful and worthy example of unity and integration as you do in the world of cinema.”
This mega-star was honoured for his outstanding contribution to the Indian film industry. The Pink actor also took to social media to thank Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani, who presented the award to him at the 48th edition of IFFI.
